About the Customer
The Home Depot is an American retailer that sells home improvement and construction products, tools, and services.
The client wanted to create a mobile application for retail services that would allow end customers to find contractors and other assistance based on the purchases they make at Home Depot’s stores.
Exadel developed the mobile and back end technology for Home Depot’s service marketplace, which connects customers with third-party service providers for items they purchase at Home Depot. For example, if someone purchases paint, the app would send them a recommendation for a painter with relevant skills.
Exadel developed an engine that contractors with a variety of skill levels, pricing, locations, and availability can use to find people in need of their assistance. When customers order services, they can track how the work is going all the way up until their project is completed.
Using the mobile application, customers can order and pay for various services, and contractors can find potential work opportunities, track active tasks, contact customers, and more. The application is available on Android and iOS platforms.
